Accessibility
What we have done to make this site usable for everyone, what we know is not right yet, and how to tell us when we get it wrong.
[SQUARE BRACKET] below is a blank the business needs to fill, and the whole document should be checked by someone qualified before the store takes real orders.
Our aim
We want everyone to be able to buy coffee here, whatever device or assistive technology they use. We are working towards WCAG 2.2 level AA.
This statement has not yet been verified by a formal audit — the claims below need testing before they are published as fact.
What we have done
- Every page can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus ring.
- A skip link jumps straight to the main content.
- The mobile menu is a proper dialog: focus stays inside it and Escape closes it.
- Text meets contrast requirements against its background, and the layout reflows to 320px without horizontal scrolling.
- Animation is reduced automatically when your device asks for it.
- Images that carry meaning have alternative text; decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.
Known problems
We know about the following and intend to fix them:
