    About this coffee

    What’s in the bag.

All the flavour, none of the caffeine. Decaffeinated with water rather than chemicals, so nothing gets stripped out but the caffeine. The one to reach for after four o’clock.

Especially good if you use a cafetière.

    Getting the best from it

However you make it, we’ve set it up for you.

Pick your kit and we grind to match. Here’s what we’d do with this coffee.

    Bean-to-cup machine

    Whole beans

Fill the hopper with beans and let the machine do the rest. If the coffee tastes thin, nudge the grinder one step finer.

    Home espresso machine

    Fine (espresso)

Use around 18g for a double and aim for roughly 36g out in 25–30 seconds. Quicker than that and it will taste sharp; slower and it will taste bitter.

    Cafetière

    Coarse

Use about 60g per litre, pour water just off the boil, stir once and leave it four minutes before pressing slowly.

    Filter coffee

    Medium

Around 60g per litre again. Wet the paper first to rinse it, then pour in stages rather than all at once.

    Moka pot

    Fine–medium

Fill the base with hot water to just below the valve, level the basket without tamping, and take it off the heat as soon as it starts to hiss.

    Ground exactly right

I never know what grind I’m meant to order. Told them I use a cafetière and it arrived right. Small thing, big difference.

    Good in milk, good black

Does both well, which I wasn’t expecting at this price. The 1kg bag is the one to get.

    Lovely with the school run

Quick, easy and it doesn’t taste like a compromise. Skipped a month over the holidays with no fuss.

    From your kitchens

    Not our photos. Theirs.

Mugs on desks, cafetières by the sink, the four-o’clock cup nobody photographs properly. This is where it actually ends up.

    Good to know

    The bits people usually ask.

Still not sure? Email us and we’ll help you pick.

    Which grind do I need?

You don’t have to know. Tell us what you make your coffee with and we grind it to match — bean-to-cup gets whole beans, a cafetière gets a coarse grind, and so on.

    How fresh will it be?

We roast in small batches and grind to order, so it goes out days from roasting rather than months. Best within a month of opening.

How long does a bag last?

Roughly 14 cups from 250g, 28 from 500g and 56 from 1kg. The calculator above will do the maths for your household.

Can I change or pause a subscription?

Yes — skip a delivery, change how often it comes, swap the coffee or stop altogether, all from your account. Nothing is locked in.

    What does delivery cost?

Free on UK orders over £20. Orders usually leave us the next working day.

What if I don’t like it?

Tell us and we’ll help you find one that suits you better. Getting it wrong once is part of working out what you like.

    Asked by customers

“Does a 1kg bag stay fresh once it’s open?”

    Dan R. · Leeds

AlsoYes, as long as you keep it sealed and out of the light. The bags are resealable with a one-way valve, and most people finish a 1kg inside a month — comfortably within its best window.

“Can I get one bag ground and another as whole beans?”

    Priya S. · Manchester

AlsoYou can. Add them as two separate items and choose a different setup for each — we set the grind per bag, not per order.

“What happens if I’m away when a delivery is due?”

    Tom W. · Brighton

AlsoSkip it from your account and the next one shifts along automatically. Nothing is charged, and you don’t lose your place.

Tell us within 30 days and we’ll replace it or refund you — no need to send the coffee back. Unopened bags can go back either way.
